Summer 2014 in Houston
From Portland where we had a lovely time with David, Doris, Daniel and Devon we flew to Houston visiting Michelle's Mom. We can stay in Sondra's beautifully decorated home. It's always a pleasure to come here.On one of the first days we picked up Shir from the Airport who returned with the kids from Israel. Everybody was glad to have them home safely.
A few images from the pool in the Houston Raquet Club where Sondra works. This is where Robin learned to swim last year with lovely teacher Cindy who does a great job. After this year's lessons Robin is comfortable in the water doing back stroke, crawl and breast stoke. We think it's safe for him to go to camp now (Camp Fern, where all the Maxfields went, has a swimming lake).

Technicalities: Like almost always you can find big versions of the pictures for prints etc. in a subfolder big. All images were taken with my Sony RX100. I used fill-in flash in most of the pool pictures in order to mitigate the high contrasts of the sunny day. The additional light is also good for portraits. And once again the camera showed its low light qualities (without flash), for example in the airport building, especially in the elevator, and at Sondra's place.
